Our History

Emergency Ultrasound Consultants, LLC (EUC) was founded in 2001 as a partnership between the world’s first and second emergency ultrasound fellowship graduates. Through EUC, Drs. Sierzenski with his team of experts, help others use clinical bedside ultrasound.

Our faculty is second to none

By 2010, we will have expanded to over 20 national experts with directors in Pediatric Ultrasound, Critical Care and Corporate Group contracts. In total, our faculty has co-authored every major ACEP, ABEM, SAEM, CORDEM, AAEM, AIUM and other societies’ policy on point-of-care ultrasound.

Academic credentials

Collectively, we have authored 4 textbooks, 30 textbook chapters and over 300 papers and abstracts on point-of-care ultrasound. We pioneered much of the emergency ultrasound research to date. Current research within our network focuses on efficiency of emergency ultrasound, therapeutic ultrasound, transesophageal echocardiography, simulation, cost effectiveness, educational methodologies, competency assessment, and risk reduction of emergency ultrasound.

Government relations

EUC faculty advise national health agencies such as AHRQ, CMS and Congress on these relevant topics and both sit as voting members for the CMS Medicare Evidence Development and Coverage Advisory Committee (MEDCAC).
